Who does my transfer?
We have partnered with Ski Lifts to provide your inclusive return transfer to and from Geneva. This is to ensure an efficient hassle free shuttle service for More Mountain customers. They are an English owner/operator business and are professional and reliable. Upon arrival at Geneva you will be greeted by a Skilifts representative, shown to your mini-bus and driven directly to our chalet. Weather and road conditions permitting the journey should take no longer than 90 mins. If you are travelling in a smaller party, you may be required to wait at the airport for a maximum of one hour. Alternatively a Private Transfer Upgrade can be arranged for an additional charge
-
What is the Private Transfer Upgrade?
If your party is of four or more persons, we can arrange a private transfer for an additional cost of £25 per person. This is a private mini bus and will leave immediately once you have collected your baggage from Geneva.
-
What happens if I am delayed?
In the case of unforeseen circumstances, out of More Mountain or Skilifts' control, such as flight delays, cancellations, lost luggage, adverse weather and road conditions, you may be required to wait in the airport arrivals café area for a maximum of one hour. If this happens, you will be notified immediately upon arrival and kept informed of the situation by the designated Skilifts representative.
-
What happens for my Departure Transfer?
For your return journey it may be necessary for us to allow up to four hours to transport you safely to the airport, due to adverse weather conditions. Any decisions regarding departure times from Morzine will be made by a Skilifts representative in conjunction with More Mountain and we will notify you on the evening before your departure. Skilifts and More Mountain will always allow adequate time to ensure you arrive safely, and on time for your flight home. Any costs incurred due to unforeseen circumstances resulting in you missing your flight should be claimed against your holiday insurance. We will provide you with any paperwork required to support such a claim. Please note: For transfers outside our normal changeover days, and for incorrect information supplied by yourself, requiring us to arrange additional transfers at short-notice, More Mountain reserves the right to charge the standard price quoted on the Skilifts website for Geneva transfers.
-
What time can I access the chalet?
The chalet is available for access after 4pm on the day of your arrival. If, however, you arrive earlier you are welcome to leave your luggage with us whilst you pop into town for a coffee or beer. The same conditions apply to self-drive guests.
-
What time do I check out?
For departure, rooms must be vacated by 10am. If you would like to ski on your last day, and consequently are planning to book a later return flight, we can store your luggage in the chalet free of charge. We cannot guarantee a room being available to shower or change in and you must completely vacate the chalet by 3pm.
-
What happens with my evening meal if I arrive on a late flight?
We offer full 4 course evening meals up to 9.30 pm – if your planned arrival time is later, we will provide you with a lighter buffet style supper.
-
What if I have specific dietary requirements?
We can provide you with specific food requirements subject to prior notification. Please contact us with specific information.
-
Where & When do I get my rental equipment?
To save you the inconvenience of waiting around for board hire on Sunday/ Monday morning and to ensure More Mountain time, we have partnered up with Morzine-based Doorstep Skis. They deliver your equipment directly to the chalet on the evening of your arrival. You will be measured up and kitted out whilst enjoying a few drinks before and during your fitting! All of the equipment supplied by Doorstep is fully serviced and of premier quality. This year they are stocking a huge range of the latest equipment from Burton Snowboards, K2, Volkl & Head Skis.
-
Where do I get my lift pass?
We will be more than happy to pre-arrange and subsequently deliver to the chalet all ski-passes for your week's holiday. This saves you waiting around on Monday morning and lets you get out on the mountain first thing. We advise you take us up on this free service! Payment is made to More Mountain directly in resort.
-
Where should I get lessons?
We have arrangements in place with The Snow School, plus Avoriaz Alpine Ski School & Mint Snowboarding. These have been chosen to provide a more varied selection of tuition. Please ensure all lessons during peak weeks are pre-booked in advance via ourselves to avoid disappointment. We can ensure we find you the best package tailored to suit your needs as each school has different strengths. Payment is made to More Mountain directly in resort.
-
What is the More Mountain Ski and Snowboard Companion Service?
We will be more than happy to show you around the Portes Du Soleil area, point out the best runs, take you on some of the better linked circuits and introduce you to some of the more secret, less well known spots. We also have a great knowledge of the mountain restaurants and après bars. Please note, this is not a mountain guiding service, we are not qualified mountain guides so as to comply with French regulations this facility does not form part of your holiday package, it is provided on a completely free basis subject to terms & conditions and staff availability. It does not include any element of "off-piste guiding". We may withdraw this service at any time.
-
Do I need Insurance?
Skiing and snowboarding can be a dangerous pursuit both on and off piste, More Mountain will endeavour to make your trip as safe as possible, but not all risks, dangers and hazards can be anticipated or avoided. Therefore you MUST be insured before partaking in a winter holiday. If you are the party leader, you must ensure that each member of the group has all their own necessary medical and travel insurance documents to cover themselves fully before embarking on the holiday and More Mountain will need evidence of this upon arriving at the chalet.
-
What about an E111 or EHIC Card?
We would also advise you to complete and bring with you an EHIC card. The E111 form is no longer valid. You will need a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) to receive necessary healthcare during a visit to a European Economic Area (EEA) country or Switzerland. This can be obtained through any UK post office or through the following web link, but be aware it can sometimes take up to 4 weeks to come through. Read the UK Government's Health advice for traveller's pages
-
Do you offer family holidays?
Our holidays are tailored to suit adult groups, young professionals and couples. We are also well equipped to deal with children of all ages and families. However, for peace of mind, should the chalet be part booked by a family with children, we will endeavour to fill additional places with parents and children. Vice versa for adult groups and couples.
