For Christmas and New Year’s Eve in Morzine, the tourist office square transforms into the enchanted village, which is the focal point for the festivities. Starting in the late afternoon, as sun starts going down, the enchanted village becomes illuminated with spectacular light displays, as the entertainment starts.
Performers will be putting on shows, and there will be lots of other family activities to take part in. You can expect face painting, creative workshops, cooking workshops and ice skating. All leading you up to the torchlit descent at 6:30pm.
This is when ski instructors from the Ecole du Ski Francais snake down the Pleney, with red glowing torches to music. This is pretty spectacular, especially as they do it at the same time as the huge fireworks display!

After a few hours on the slopes in the morning, put your party hat on and head to La Folie Douce in Avoriaz! It opens on 15th December 2018 and you can expect lots of Champagne flowing and dancing on tables, with some unique entertainment. There will be DJs, singers, dancers, musicians and performers entertaining the crowds from the terrace in their unique way….. It is quite an intense afternoon.
