Tour de France - Morzine 2022

The Tour de France is coming to Morzine for the first time in 6 years putting Morzine on the Tour map for the 21st time.

47 years ago Morzine hosted one of the mos =t famous bike races for the first time. Yesterday, it was announced that the Tour de France will once again come to Morzine in July 2022!

The Tour's 9th Stage will finish in Chatel on July 10th, and the riders will have their first rest day in Morzine on Monday 11th July.

They will then start from Morzine on the Tuesday 12th July for the 148km 10th stage to Megève. This stage crosses the Vallée d’Aulps, the plateau de Gavot, Thonon and the vallée du Brevon before heading towards the vallée de l’Arve.

Morzine will be at the heart of the action and is the perfect place for the riders to rest before taking on the big Alpine cols. Our mountain town has been awarded the “Terre de Jeux 2024" and has been chosen as a preparation centre for cycling for the 2024 Olympics.
