What's on in Morzine This Summer

This epic mountain bike event turns 20 this year! Covering the huge Portes du Soleil, the Pass'Portes course covers 80km, two countries, 13 lifts, 720m of climbing, and 5700m of downhill.

The event has expanded over the years and now also includes specific events for e-bikes, gravel bikes, and even pedestrians. It’s a great way to explore the expansive area that’s right on Morzine’s doorstep!

The WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series is back in Les Gets for 2024! 

The Cross-country Short Track (XCC), Cross-country Olympic (XCO) and Downhill (DHI) events will take place in Les Gets across the weekend.

With fantastic racing from the best riders in the world, and always set against an incredible atmosphere, this is a must-see for bike fans.

Billed as "the Spartan weekend of the summer", the event has something for everyone. Choose from the Sprint 5K, Super 10K, Beast 21K or even the Ultra 50K...And there's a shorter course for the kids!

If that all sounds like too much effort, you’ll be glad to know that part of the course snakes its way around town so you can relax and watch everyone tackle the crazy obstacles instead!

Harley Days really has to be experienced to be believed! The bi-annual gathering of riders and rockers transforms Morzine with exhibitions, stalls, free concerts, and more motorbikes and leathers than you can imagine!

With the final night coinciding with Bastille Day (France’s national holiday), expect 2024’s event to be bigger and crazier than ever.

The perfect antidote to Harley Days, Morzine’s Nature Festival is all about stepping back, relaxing, and reconnecting to the nature on our doorstep.

A programme full of events including yoga and sophrology sessions, wellness workshops, hikes and more will be posted on the Morzine-Avoriaz Tourist Office website nearer the time.

For two weeks every summer, the centre of Morzine transforms into the Royaume des Marmots (Kingdom of the Marmots), with free activities for kids and families taking place every day between 10am and 7pm.

What makes the best summer holiday destination, the beach or the mountains? Well you don't need to compromise because at the start of August, the beach comes to Morzine!

Complete with sand and deckchairs, there are usually a number of other fun workshops and activities that take place over the two days.

The annual Fête du Lac at Lac de Montriond is a firework show like nothing you've ever seen! Take a blanket and a picnic, and settle in for the light and music spectacle ending with an incredible firework display against the stunning backdrop of the Lac de Montriond cliffs.

This year's theme is the Olympics, and after the fireworks there'll be a DJ playing into the early hours!

A high-altitude mountain trail running event with stunning views linking Morzine to Avoriaz. There are four events to choose from, ranging from 23K to 52K, and all are UTMB® World Series Qualifier events.

Unfortunately the Montriond Morzine Avoriaz (MMA) Triathlon has been cancelled for 2024 however why not try your own mini-triathlon based around Lac du Montriond?

Swim across the lake, cycle up to Ardent and back (or continue up to the Goat Village in Linderets if you fancy more of a challenge), and finish with a lap or two around the lake. 

Then celebrate with a well-deserved drink at Hotel du Lac!

Morzine once again plays host to the Mont-Blanc Rally with stages taking place on the roads around the town including the col de Joux Verte and the col de Joux Plane.
