Avoriaz Opening Weekend!
Avoriaz opens non-stop for the winter season on Friday 13th December 2024, all the way through to 21st April 2025!
13 - 15 December 2024
Rock On Snow
Avoriaz always starts the winter with a huge ski and snowboard test. With stalls and demo fleets from leading snowsports brands, this is a great way to test out those new pieces of kit you’ve got your eye on…!
It’s totally free to test the equipment, you just need to pre-register ahead of time, and take along two pieces of ID.

Spartan Winter Trail 10K & 21K
The Spartan Winter Trail might be obstacle-free but it isn’t for the faint hearted, with 10K and 21K routes up and around Morzine’s ski slopes and forests. Expect to be running in the snow!

Morzine / Les Gets Opening Weekend!
Morzine / Les Gets open non-stop for the winter season on Saturday 21st December 2024 through to 6th April 2025!
A partial opening of the ski area is planned from 14th December, conditions dependent.

Village Enchante (Enchanted Village)
Morzine centre transforms into a festive wonderland over Christmas and New Year with various events taking place daily in the main square by the Tourist Office.
15 - 22 March 2025
Snowboxx
If you fancy dancing and raving in the snow then Snowboxx is for you. This open-air festival takes place in Avoriaz and regularly includes sets from world-renowned DJs and artists.
Tickets sell out FAST but even if you can’t get your hands on a wristband for the main stage, there’s a full on party atmosphere throughout the resort all week with legendary après at La Folie Douce, igloo parties, and so much more.

Rock the Pistes
A totally unique experience, Rock the Pistes is a music festival on snow! With lunchtime concerts on the slopes of resorts across the Portes du Soleil, and countless apres events in the bars, Rock the Pistes is the ultimate in skiing meets partying. And the concerts are all free - you just need your lift pass!

Junior World Alpine Skiing Championships
World-class, international skiing championships taking place across the resorts of Châtel, Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets and Saint-Jean d'Aulps. With 6 disciplines including downhill and giant slalom, this is an event to watch if you enjoy ski racing.

Avoriaz Freeride Week
Watch some of the world's best freeride skiers and snowboarders compete across the FWT Junior, FWT Qualifier and FWT Challenger events in Avoriaz as part of the Freeride World Tour week.

The Course des Champions is a kids open ski race, and offers kids the chance to meet local ski racing legends.

Volcom Spot to Spot
The legendary Volcom Spot to Spot snowboard competition makes a return to Avoriaz for 2024. Registration is now closed but expect some amazing riding from amateurs to pros of all ages.

Season Closing
With Morzine-Les Gets closing for the season on 7th April, and Avoriaz staying open until 21st April, April is the time for slushy skiing, sunshine and closing parties !
Happy Hours, Trappeurs and Chez Flo are always a great way to close out the season.
